Le principali caratteristiche di questo tipo di materiali sono l’elevato attrito e la costanza di prestazione soprattutto con temperature del disco elevate.

Tali caratteristiche garantiscono una frenata eccellente e uniforme per l’intera durata della competizione, rendendo meno probabile il manifestarsi di effetti di fading.Per tale motivo l’efficienza alle basse temperature assume un’importanza inferiore.
